Deckroz ("we", "us") operates the Deckroz Portal mobile app and web portal (the "Service"), which lets customers of deck-building businesses book projects, view their quotes and invoices, track project progress, and, on iOS, scan a job site with LiDAR and record project notes and transcribe them using Apple's dictation. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

Information we collect

• Account information you provide: name, email address, phone number, and password.
• Project information: addresses, project details, quotes, invoices, bookings, and notes associated with your projects.
• Photos, videos, and LiDAR scans you capture in the app to document a job site or project notes.
• Usage and device data: basic app interaction and diagnostic information used to keep the Service working.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and show you your projects, quotes, invoices, and bookings.
• To process bookings and let you pay via a Stripe payment link or by bank transfer. We do not store full card numbers; card payments are handled by Stripe.
• To provide the LiDAR scan, and the voice and video note recording and Apple-dictation transcription features you initiate.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

Camera, microphone, and LiDAR

The app requests access to your camera, microphone, and LiDAR only when you use the scanning and note features. Voice notes are transcribed using Apple's on-device dictation. Captured media is stored against your project and is not used for any other purpose.

Third parties who process data for us

• Supabase, secure database and file storage and hosting.
• Stripe, payment processing when you choose to pay by card or link.
• Apple, app distribution via the App Store and on-device dictation.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time from within the app (Settings, then Delete account) or by emailing us at the address below. On deletion we remove your personal data, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, consistent with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Contact us to make a request.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
